“It‘s Sew Easy with Maebh”

A sewing studio in south Dublin teaching sewing courses and dressmaking class for all ages.

“It‘s Sew Easy with Maebh” is a sewing school in Dublin which caters for all ages and levels of ability and experience. Maebh Walsh brings to “It’s Sew Easy with Maebh”, her new sewing school, more than 30 years experience as a sewing teacher and fashion designer. 

"My students can give free reign to their creativity, taking on challenges of pattern or fabric under my guidance, challenges they might have been apprehensive to take on without supervision. Classes are fun, and many of my students look forward to having a laugh with other like-minded people, as they create a new garment or something for their home." 

Maebh is currently running a range of courses, from 1 day, 2 day workshops, to weekly/evening classes. These include: Creative Cushion, Introduction to Sewing, make a Beanbag, Curtain Making, Dressmaking (Beginners/ Refreshers), Dressmaking (Improvers/Advanced), Make-Do & Mend, Roman Blind, Sewing for Transition Year Students and more.

The classes take place in Stillorgan, on the Southside of Dublin, easily accessed by car or public transport.

Introducing Elaine Alice Textiles

Elaine Fleming is a recent college graduate with a B.A Honours Degree in Design for Textiles. Having specialized in digitally print, Elaine has created a range of interior products which are aimed at the alternative high end market, which include lampshades and wall hangings.

She draws her inspiration from her childhood memories of growing up on a farm, "My memories result in an eclectic  and at times surreal mix from my childhood experience of farm life due to shifting seasons and work focus. Mundane farm items become decorative avant-garde designs".
