The winners of the 2010 Montana Wearable Art Competition, in New Zealand, have just been announced. Our favourite textile competition/event, it has been described as 

"The Montana* World of WearableArt™ (WOW®) Awards Show is an annual extravaganza twisting conventional perceptions of both art and fashion and weaves them into a two-hour performance that has been described as, “Mardi Gras meets Haute Couture at a Peter Gabriel concert directed by Salvador Dali”.

Shauna Richardson - Crochetdermy

Some time ago, we came across the wonderful crochet of Shauna Richardson. (And have been devoted followers since!) As well as winning the commission for the 2010 Olympics, Shauna has recently won Best Sculpture and was the overall Gold Award winner for the Art of Giving show at Saatchi Gallery.
