SEWING MACHINE SKILLS (ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS)
Saturday 21st July &
Saturday 11th August
Do you have a sewing machine still sitting in its box? Would you like to get to
grips with it and learn to sew? This workshop will teach you how to set up
and use your sewing machine, stitching, seams, hems, how to finish garment
seams, and how to read patterns. In the afternoon you will get
creative and make a dirndyl skirt.
We provide all the materials and use of our workshop sewing tools, but you will need to bring your own working, serviced sewing machine with you on the day.
The workshop runs from 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday 21st July and then again on Saturday 11th August. We provide soft drinks, tea, coffee and biscuits in the morning and afternoon. Workshop attendees can purchase lunch in the on-site coffee shop.
The cost of this workshop is £75 which includes tuition, materials, and refreshments (excluding lunch).
Each workshop is limited to 4 places ......

How I wish there were just something like this a little closer to where I am here in Sligo. Or maybe there is and I just don't know about it? Any chance of this turning into a 'road show' kind of workshop? I would love to take this course/workshop. Very ironic that I don't hae a clue as to how to use a sewing machine, as my grandmother was a seamstress back in her day. Thanks for sharing, and I would love to sign up, but Belfast is just a bit too far for me to drive to.
