New Contemporary Applied Arts: Ceramics/Glass/Textiles
Degree Course at the Crawford College of Art and Design Cork.
CAO Deadline February 1 is fast approaching for this new
innovative and unique programme offering specialisation in Ceramics, Glass, or
Textiles, or interdisciplinary combinations of these. Emphasis on thinking
through making, in the context of contemporary art practice and current debate
on the role of the object and of process/making in critical theories of fine
and applied art.
Experimental hands-on exploration; dialogue across
materials and categories. Exciting opportunities for exchange programmes
in textiles with Kaunas Art Academy, Lithuania, and with China Art Academy,
Hangzhou. Expanded studios and equipment in textiles.
Possible
entry to Year 2 in autumn 2013 for applicants holding Level 6.
