MEHMET GIRGIC a Turkish master feltmaker, will be joining us for several workshops between 15th and 27th January 2009. Each 3 day workshop will cost E240 plus materials, approx. cost of all materials necessary is E70 - E100, this depends on each actual rug made. Tea, coffee and an excellent simple lunch will be provided each day. Participants will have an amazing experience to work with a very generous tutor and learn the Osman technique of felting a rug. Mehmet is an inspiring tutor and unstinting in his knowledge and at the end of the 3 days everyone will have a beautiful rug of their own to take home with them. Because of the technique used it is not necessary to be an experienced feltmaker to participate in this course and I would urge all of you males out there to take note. Traditionally and to this present day many men were involved in the rug making business, this is your big opportunity to join in the fun and unleash your creative talent!
