Upcycling Workshops, Co.Sligo

Dollys Cottage is a 200-year-old traditional thatched cottage, renovated yet unchanged. When you step through the little red door, it is like stepping into the past. Dolly''s Cottage has hardly changed in its 200 years and provides an experience of how people lived until the not so distant past. Read more about Dollys Cottage here

Electric Picnic 2011 - Greencrafts and Pre Festival Clothes Swop!

Electric Picnic is an annual Arts and Music Festival, which has been staged since 2004 in Stradbally Hall, Stradbally, County Laois

 Greencrafts

"Greencrafts, the Irish company trail-blazing exciting eco craft villages at events, are delighted to make a welcome return to this years Electric Picnic 2011. Festival goers feedback has been fantastic with surprise and delight at discovering the off-grid Greencrafts Village in amongst the trees as part of the Global Green area. Becoming an integral part of the Picnic experience, the area is a vibrant hub of buzzing activity and a place to go to find another world - a place of wonder and enchantment a place of fun and excitement, a place to exchange ideas and try something new."

Last year there was a great textile presence at the Craft Village, with demonstrations and workshops  in sewing, knitting, felting, crochet, etc. This year there promises to be that and more...
