Guerilla Knitting in Scotland

Luib na Lùban, Stitches on the Bridge, a new textile art group in Skye and Lochalsh, Scotland, are sending an open invitation to Scots, ex-pats, Scotophiles and anyone else to take part in an ambitious project to cover the Skye Bridge in knitting!!

They are looking for knitted and crocheted panels, more details here, which will be sold to make money for local charities after the event. You have until next September to make your panel.

This is being organised as part of Highland Homecoming 2009, the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns birth, and celebrates Scotland’s great contribution to the world.

They are an organised bunch, there are many ways to contact them!
