The award winning Sheelin Antique Irish Lace Museum houses over 700 exhibits dating from 1890-1920. It houses approximately 700 exhibits, illustrating all the five main types of Lace which were made in Ireland. On display are Wedding Dresses, Wedding Veils, Shawls, Parasols, Collars, Baby Bonnets, Christening Gowns, Flounces, Jackets and many more items. The exhibits can be split up into five categories: Irish Crochet Lace, Youghal Needlelace, Inishmacsaint Needlelace, Carrickmacross Lace and Limerick Lace.
The adjoining Sheelin Lace Shop offers many beautiful antique Irish lace items for sale as well as bags, belts and chokers, handmade using vintage pieces.
