Ceadogán Rugs and TRIPODIII have teamed up to celebrate the Galway stop-over of the Volvo Ocean Race by staging an exhibition of 11 custom-designed, hand-made rugs inspired by all things nautical. The source of inspiration was endless with eventual themes being weather patterns, sail details, vessels, tidal charting and sailing instrumentation. The collection of bespoke rugs, entitled ‘Yarn and Sail Unite’, will be exhibited at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Galway City.

This really was quite an event...the who is who of Galway catching a glimpse of some suberb craftsmanship.
What a great idea...to untie Yarn and Sail in celebration of Volvo Ocean Race - an exhibition so artistically and thoughtfully promoted by TripodIII. Whatever about the magnificant rugs, I reckon we have got to watch this events company TripodIII who bring a new element to the world of promoting art - even to Galway...and that's a statement!
