Here is John Rocha's 2010 Spring/Summer Collection.
According to The Telegraph...."For next spring/summer, his references came from Carrickmacross, a renowned centre for traditional lace-making, and the Irish-American abstract painter, Sean Scully. Rocha used hand-knitted crochet, in black or cream, dipped in sugar and water to stiffen it, and then molded into shapes around the body, such as an hourglass dress, a spherical skirt, or a bell-shaped mini. The colours were drawn from the wildflowers and landscapes of the West Coast of Ireland: a hint of pink; the palest grass green; sand, clay and earth tones; a poppy-orange; and the shades of a wild rambling rose, together with Rocha’s signature bone-white and black".

We are amused by the term 'hand-knitted crochet' in The Telegraphs article...
