JANUARY FELTING WORKSHOPS with Nicola Brown, Co. Carlow

NEW YEAR SPECIAL OFFERS with Nicola Brown at Clasheen, Ballybrack, Borris, Co. Carlow.

Workshops cost €25 incl materials and run from 10.30am – 12.30pm on Saturdays.

Should you have a group with a minimum of 4 participants and would like to determine your own adgenda I am happy to facilitate you at Clasheen any Saturday afternoon during January.  These sessions would take place between 2pm - 4pm and unless any special material requirments are necessary (eg. silk fabric as well as fibre) will cost €25 incl materials  per person.

FINGERLESS MITTENS – a simple three dimensional project
Saturday 16th January
Keep your hands warm this winter and let Nicola help you felt a gorgeous pair of fingerless mittens to beat the cold!  Using the warmest Icelandic wool explore the interesting technique of  felting around a plastic resist.  This method of felting around a resist is also used to create bags, sculpture and many different types of three dimensional work.

NUNO FELTING – an introduction

Nuno felting is an exciting and fascinating technique incorporating fabric and fibre which is used to create the most beautiful and drapeable felt immaginable.  At this introductory workshop have fun experimenting with different types of natural fabrics and learn how to create beautiful texture using the lightest amount of wool possible!
