Knitters Wanted: Urban Knit Project in Limerick

Hi Kniters and Knitting Groups

My name in Eilish and I am a 3 year sculpture student in Limerick school of Art and Design. I am working on a project called Urban Knit. I will be covering ether fully or partially an empty rental building in Limerick city in a large knitted blanket. This project is more than just knitting. It involves participants in social engaging Art and places community involvement in pride of place. I would relay love to get you or your grope involved.

I am writing to you to ask if you would like to participate in the project by knitting and donating an A4 size patch. This installation is made out many patches so I do need a quite lot of them and would be very grateful for your contribution. I am also in need of wool so if you have any leftover scraps these would also be greatly appreciated.

Yours in Knitting
Eilish Tuite

Heard you on the Gerry Ryan Show. Will be glad to knit a few squares for you and hopefully recruit a few more people. Good Luck. Maura, Donegal.

Heard you on RTE Player while listening to Gerry Ryan. I love your idea. I am working on my patch now in freezing Burgundy. Good luck with the project! Susan, France.
