'Tread Softly', Exhibition by members of the Crafts Council of Ireland

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: Textile, Mixed Media and Fibre Artists

'Tread Softly' an exhibition of textile work by members of the Crafts Council of Ireland at the Kntting & Stitching Show RDS, Dublin - October 28th to -31st 2010.

The theme for the exhibition is the poem by Yeats, entrants may interpret the poem as they wish:
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with the golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams beneath your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams...

The exhibition is open to all registered members, associate and full, of the Crafts Council of Ireland. Submissions will be accepted in all categories of textiles, mixed media and fibre art. All original work must have been made in the past two years and cannot have won a major prize.
