Official Opening of The Shewing Shed, Co. Kerry.

The Sewing Shed- providing Kerry with all it sewing needs is ………..expanding. We are moving premises and increasing the opening hours.

The Sewing Shed officially opens on the 4th March 2011 from 10-4pm 

MORE…classes, workshops and kits will be available. NOT to mention the bigger range of fabrics and craft items we will be stocking.Fabric, thread, haberdashery, machine sale service and repair.

Kits, fleece, organza, gingham, american cottons. Fabric paints, dyes. And more. 

The classes and shop are run by Nikki Foley. ‘Drawn to fabric and beautiful colours I started patchwork 16 years ago. As I discovered different techniques my work developed. I have designed and written instructions for some of the Quick Quilts series by Rosemary Wilkinson, other magazines and publications.’ Her work is a mix of contemporary and traditional, and she has exhibited work in America, France, Canada the UK and all over Ireland. From time to time you will come across her work in books and magazines as she is a regular contributor, designing projects and writing articles.

Cushion Making Class.
Date: Friday 11th March for 4 weeks
Time: 10.30am -12.30pm
Cost 40 euro.
Make a set of cushions to match your interior, patchwork or plain, whatever you would like to match your interior.

Dress Making class
Date: Monday 21st of march for 6 weeks.
Time: 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Sewing machines provided.

The Sewing Shed - from Castlemaine take the R561 for 6 miles. Situated above the quickpick shop on the left.
