Create your own unique Christmas decorations, cards and
bring home some unusual Christmas presents!
HAND PAPERMAKING
10am - 12.30pm
learning basic skills and processes of hand papermaking,
using recycled materials and pure plant fibres.
SILK FIBRE PAPERMAKING
2 - 4pm
making colourful, striking decorations from raw silk fibres,
silk tops, plant fibres and embroidery threads
- while learning one of the techniques used in Silk Fibre
(fusion) Papermaking
BATIK
5 - 7pm
creating colourful pattern and design on cloth through a
traditional fabric dyeing process where hot wax is used as a resist.
Participants will work on small pieces that are suitable for card making,
collage and various textile projects.
Venue: The Studio, Bennettsbridge, Co. Kilkenny
All courses are suitable for beginners, adults and young
people from 10 years of age!
Children under 14 years of age need to accompanied by an
adult family member.
