Sew Vintage at Stranmillis College, Belfast

SEW VINTAGE AT STRANMILLIS COLLEGE

Whether you've just learned the basics of sewing or have lots of experience, then you might be interested in learning some traditional techniques that are perhaps not so widely used now, but are the very  reason vintage items of clothing have stood the test of time.

These are the course details;
This course is for lovers of vintage or vintage style clothing.  You will learn traditional sewing techniques such as pin tucks, French seams, bound buttonholes, Peter Pan collars and lace insets.  You will also learn how to restore and repair previously loved items of clothing.  So if you have something that needs a bit of TLC, you will be able to revive and wear it.  Basic hand sewing and machine skills would be an advantage for this course.
