Flower Power a very exciting project for the Wool Shop’s
World Knit in Public day on June 8th in Knockmahon NS, Co. Waterford.
Hamersley Art have
devised a fabulous community art installation, a textile collage will be made
up of hundreds of crochet and knitted flowers!
The work is to raise funds for
Heart Children Ireland and will go on tour when completed. Bring along your
flower and attach it to the collage and sign the visitors book for a €1
donation,
Not crafty? Don’t worry flowers will be available on the day for a €1
donation. Donations of yarn (Knitted or crocheted) flowers of approx. 8cm
diameter can be sent to Hamersley Art, Seascapes, Bonmahon, Co Waterford, or
dropped into the Dungarvan country market, the causeway tennis club Abbeyside
on Friday mornings.
