Talks and Workshops at the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin

 To coincide with their exhibition 'Costumes Parisiens - fashion plates from 1912-1914', the Chester Beatty Library are hosting a series of talks and events:

 
Thursday 23 January 6-7pm
An Evening with Couturier and Fashion Designer Umit Kutluk
As part of Costumes Parisiens, join Irish-based fashion designer Umit Kutluk as he discusses his work.  There will be traditional Turkish tea and sweets afterwards.  Supported by the Turkish Embassy, Ireland.  Booking essential. See Book Workshops Here. Free.


Member’s Event - Saturday 25 January 2pm
Talk - Taming the Dragon, the Conservation of an Imperial Dragon Robe from the Chester Beatty Library Collection.
The work was carried out by Textile Conservator Karen Horton and the robe will go on display in January 2014 as part of our Chinese New Year celebrations. Please click here for more information.
