Patchwork Quilt Classes at Slaney Handcraft, Co. Carlow
Tomomi McElwee of Slaney HandCraft has opened a patchwork
quilt studio in Co. Carlow. There you can purchase ready-made quilts or order a
custom-made quilt, buy a selection of cotton fabric and accessories for quilt
making or join a class.
Since establishing her studio earlier this year, Tomomi has
been teaching a weekly drop-in class on Wednesday mornings and is now taking
bookings for a six weeks Autumn course for beginners starting 9th of September.
In this six week course you will learn all the basics of
quilt making:
Rotary cutting
Machine stitching
Block building
Sashing
Adding border
Quilting by machine
Binding off
Time and Date : From 9th September to 14th October on
Tuesdays, for six weeks, 7p.m. - 9p.m.
Place:
Slaney HandCraft Studio in Rathvilly, Co Carlow

€75.00 (deposit €25.00 required)

About Tomomi:
Tomomi has won a number of prizes at the All Ireland open
quilt competition and has been teaching quilt making in Carlow for several
years. She is registered with Design Craft Council of Ireland (formerly Craft
Council of Ireland) as a quilt maker and ETB Kilkenny and Carlow (formerly VEC)
as a quilt teacher.
