Weekend Workshop 

 

  Join us in Tramore, County Waterford fora weekend of crafting. 

 

 Naalbinding and the warp-weighted loom

 

Participants will have the opportunity to learn naalbinding and to explore the building and warping of a warp weighted loom. 

There will be introductory talks about the loom and naalbinding, then you can learn naalbinding- materials supplied. You will also have a hands on opportunity to investigate the loom. 


Naalbinding will offer you chance to learn techniques, a basic stitch, shaping, then more stitches as you wish. On the loom you can learn how to make the warp header with tablet weaving, knit the heddle threads and start to weave, as well as understanding the principles of how the loom works. 


Numbers will be limited to give all participants maximum access to both crafts. 

Lunches included. 

Where: Mother of Pearl Cafe, Tramore (opposite the old Railway Station), Co. Waterford
Date: 11th and 12th April 2015 
Time: 10.30 to 4.30 each day.
Cost: €60 ( or €40 for Saturday only) (€20deposit)
