Fashion BreakThrough is excited to reveal details of its second biannual showcase of emerging Irish design. Uprising – 13 young fashion creators proudly take their place.

Launch

Where:Cow's Lane, Temple Bar, Dublin
Event: Public opening of the POP-UP BOUTIQUE. Open for 6 days, the Pop-Up Boutique will be selling some of Ireland’s most cutting-edge collections for Autumn/Winter 2009.

Catwalk Show
When: Tuesday 18th August 2009,
Where: Marquee, Meeting House Square
Time: 7pm

Styled by Angela Scanlon
Designers include Zoe Boomer, Sophie Rieu, Bebhinn Flood, Heidi Higgins, Deirdre Harte, Lisa Shawgi, Sinead Doyle

Monday 17 th
- Public opening of the Pop-Up boutique on bustling Cow’s Lane, Temple Bar, for six days. Here you’ll find unparalleled variety and unique pieces from our up-and-coming Irish designers who will themselves be on hand right through to Saturday to offer personal consultations and expertise.

Tuesday
18th

- invite-only catwalk show at 4pm for press and trade in a marquee on Meeting House Square, hosted by Dublin style icon Holly White. With Pintxos and sparkling pink champagne on arrival from Lillie’s Bordello.

- live catwalk show open to the public at 7pm in the marquee on Meeting House Square. Hosted by Holly White, styled by Angela Scanlon, Ireland’s most poised models will command the catwalk in inspiring ensembles by the top names to watch in Irish couture.
Designers include:
-Zoe Boomer, who has been touted as Ireland’s answer to Stella McCartney and who counts Natasha Bedingfield as a firm fan.

-Sophie Rieu joins us with her latest collection of lush, tactile pieces that are created with concern for the environment.

-A collection by Bebhinn Flood, whose bold prints, strong lines and beautiful sense of texture are gaining her a great name.

-Exciting new-name designer Heidi Higgins, whose label already has a super firm identity. Her gorgeously iconic, sweeping dresses enrobe the figure like magic.
-The intricate, innovative up-cycling of Deirdre Harte – who does high impact, high fashion design without compromising on ethics.
-Lisa Shawgi, who creates elegant, flowing feminine knitwear that swirls with sensation and evokes her childhood lived in Sudan.

-Sinead Doyle, whose alluring, detailed tailored work exudes absolute class.

August 19 and 20
-The week is topped off by an exclusive Trade Show in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre on – where some of our most accomplished young designers will present their Spring/Summer 2010 collections to buyers.
