The Art and Craft Collective at Sulis Design Centre and Gallery are pleased to announce that Theresa Kelly a local Carrickmacross Lacemaker and textile artist has joined their creative team of artists and crafts people.  To launch Theresa’s membership in the co-operative group Sulis are hosting an exhibition of Theresa’s most recent work which was included in the dramatic and popular exhibition ‘Elemental Strands’ which first ran earlier this year in County Monaghan Museum.

"We are ten ‘crazy artisans’ in our collective….and we say crazy because of the economic times during which we choose to set up our gallery in the beautiful old stone building that was Scoil Rois in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan. But hey we are creative people, why would be sit back and let the ecomonic woes of the world swamp us? It is all about encouraging and helping each other to be the best we can be, creating and making the most of our opportunities. And when the opportunity to set up our gallery in this beautiful old building, formerly Scoil Rois came along, well we seized it and we are working hard to make a success of it. We have just recently opened a new addition to our retail Design Centre, a small gallery, which is ideal for small solo exhibitions and small group showcases"
