Update on Irish Crocheted Coral Reef

Here are a few crochet coral workshops happening around the country. If you are interested in having a workshop in your area, please get in touch, and we will help in anyway we can.

An informal crocheting session with the Macroom Purlies, Macroom Library, Cork - Due to the terrible weather on the day, this workshop has been postponed until the 3rd of December 2009

An introduction to the Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef with instructions on how to crochet hyperbolic shapes in  The Yarn Room, Ashford, Co Wicklow

Hyperbolic Crochet talk and demo's with the Macroom Purlies, Macroom Library, Cork

4th December 10am-12pm
Hyperbolic Crochet talk and demo's with The Crafty Knit and Stitchers group, The Crafty Alley, The Crafty Alley, 6B Scotts Street, East Avenue Road, Killarney, Co. Kerry

4th December 10.00am - 5.30pm
Irish Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef day - all day at The Yarn Room in Ashford village, Co Wicklow. The Work Table at The Yarn Room will be cleared and used for Hyperbolic stuff only, all day. Everyone is invited to drop in and make a piece of coral which will be brought to The Science Gallery to be included in the exhibition in March.

In these workshops Wicklow based crochet expert Irene Lundgaard will lead you from the basics of crochet through to the techniques needed to crochet a hyperbolic mathematical pattern. It’s easier then you think!
