A product of creative minds
3M Ireland is calling on fashionistas to use their creativity in the “Fashion-it to Win-it” competition. Turn 3M products into a garment and be in with the chance to win €1500 and the chance to have your garment as part of the 3M Fashion-it charity fashion show in aid of The Laura Lynn House Foundation.
Ireland’s aspiring clothes designers have been set the challenge to fashion a product with a twist. All the cat-walk high couture for a Dublin charity show in September will be using materials made out of products from the diversified technology company 3M. With 55,000 products in its portfolio - from Post-it Notes to Scotch-Brite cloths to 3M surgical masks and gowns - 3M is offering the competitors a wide spectrum for their imagination.
The proceeds from the show will all go to The Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice Foundation, which is working to establish the first children’s hospice in the Republic of Ireland.
“The possibilities are endless, with 3M supplying all the products required to create the ‘must-have’ piece of the season,” said the company’s Liobhán O'Hora. “We can’t wait to see their creations.”
Individuals and teams of up to four members (including a model) can register for the design contest at 3Mfashionit@mmm.com. A shortlisted selection of designs will be modelled at the 3M Fashion-it show on 16 September 2010 at the Sugar Club.
3M Ireland's offices are located at The Iveagh Building, The Park, Carrickmines, Dublin 18.
Please contact 3M at: 3Mfashionit@mmm.com for an entry form or call Liobhán O’Hora or Mary Filan on (01) 2803555
