Ros Tapestry Talk, Cork Civic Turst House, Cork

There is a talk tonight, Friday, 27th August 2010, on the Ros Tapestry by Countess Anne Bernstorf in the Cork Civic Trust House on Popes Quay at 7.30 p.m.

The tapestry is in actual fact a form or embroidery like “Crewel Work”. A few embroiders from Cork have been working on it recently. The lecture would be of interest to anyone interested in textile art or embroidery. The project is a series of very large panels depicting the history of New Ross. They have been ten years in the making and the story surrounding them is wonderful.

The Cork Civic Trust House is the red brick Queen Anne house to the right of St. Mary’s Church.
